Unified track finishes second
BEDFORD – Bloomington North topped Bedford North Lawrence and Bloomfield during Unified Track action on Saturday.
The Cougars scored 348 points, followed by the Stars (188) and Cardinals (76).
Section winners for BNL included Jazmyne York (16.12 in the 100 meter dash), Isaiah Goller (1:08.56 in the 400), Philip Matson (16-8.5 in the long jump), Jesselyn Fisher (10-2.5 in the long jump), Byron Kyger (39-7.5 in the shot put), Macey Moore (22-8 in the shot put) and the boys 400 meter relay (52.00).
“All in all, I think we had a great day of competition,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “Several kids had their best performances of the season. We have two more meets before the sectional and we are looking better all the time. Our main focus now is getting better every day and to continue to grow as a team.”
BNL will host Seymour and Columbus East for Senior Night on Monday.
