Winning Powerball ticket sold in Lake County to expire in January

Indianapolis, Indiana – A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket is about to expire.

A ticket bought at a Citgo situated at 1312 W Chicago Ave in East Chicago, Indiana, will expire on January 29, according to a news release from the Hoosier Lottery.

All winning tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing, according to Powerball rules. During a drawing on August 2, 2023, a ticket that was sold in Lake County matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball. That drawing’s winning numbers were 23-24-33-51-64 with a Powerball of 5.

The winning ticket must be claimed by 4:30 p.m. ET on January 29 at the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Office, which is located at 1302 N Meridian St. in Indianapolis.

Another Powerball ticket that was purchased at a GetGo in Anderson and won is about to expire. On January 16, that ticket—which is likewise valued at $50,000—will become invalid.

In a drawing held on July 17, the winning ticket, which was bought at 920 W 38th St. in Anderson, matched four of the five numbers as well as the Powerball. That drawing’s winning numbers were 5-8-9-17-41, with a Powerball of 21.
