Danville, Indiana – Following an early-morning collision on State Road 39 in Hendricks County on Saturday, a 52-year-old Mooresville woman suffered fatal injuries.
The identity of the deceased woman is yet unknown. A young girl was reportedly not hurt despite being a part of the collision.
Around 10:15 a.m., personnel from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department and the fire department responded to a tragic accident that occurred in the 1400 block of South S.R. 39. Just south of Danville is that.
Investigators surmise that the woman and her minor passenger were traveling north on S.R. 39 when, for an unspecified reason, the woman pulled off the road. After hitting a tree, the car rolled, according to the police.
At the scene, the woman was declared deceased. As a precaution, the girl was brought to a hospital for assessment.
After being closed for around two hours for investigation and cleanup, the road reopened at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
According to police, drinking, and narcotics are not thought to have played a role in the collision.
