2 people die in a car accident close to Anderson

Anderson, Indiana – Two people were killed and a 17-year-old was critically hurt in a horrific car accident in Anderson on Saturday night.
At 5:17 p.m., officers from the Anderson Police Department were called to the intersection of South Scatterfield Road and East Fifth Street due to reports of a car accident.
According to APD, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old struck a 2008 Pontiac Vibe that was being driven by both ladies. The Silverado driver was sent to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment after suffering a severe lower-body injury. The 17-year-old’s present state has not yet been made public.
The female Pontiac driver and her passenger were sent right away for emergency treatment of their significant injuries to Community Hospital. The two women’s identities won’t be revealed until their families have received the required notification.
