After stabbing and killing a coworker in Hendricks County, a truck stop employee detained
Clayton, Indiana – A 20-year-old truck stop worker in Hendricks County was detained on Saturday after police claim he fatally stabbed a coworker following a dispute.
Darin Simpson, 33, of Martinsville, was the colleague who passed away.
According to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the TA Truck Stop in the 10300 block of S.R. 39 South, close to Interstate 70, at roughly 5:58 p.m. on Saturday in response to a report of a stabbing.
Officers discovered that a physical altercation took place between Simpson and another worker, 20-year-old Sebastian Jones from Monrovia. Jones allegedly pulled out a knife during the altercation and stabbed Simpson.
Simpson was brought to a hospital in Indianapolis, where he eventually passed away.
Without incident, Jones was hauled into arrest at the truck stop. He is being charged with murder at this time.
