Body discovered on historic downtown bar’s roof
Indianapolis, Indiana – The female victim whose corpse was discovered on the rooftop of a landmark downtown bar and restaurant has not been linked to foul play, according to Indianapolis police.
For a death investigation, investigators from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the Slippery Noodle Inn, 372 S. Meridian St., on Thursday at around 6 p.m.
“We received a phone call late today that someone on a passing train noticed what looked like a person sleeping on our roof. That section of our roof is not easily accessible,” the Slippery Noodle said on social media. “When we were able to determine there was a person on the roof, we called authorities.”
After gaining access to the roof, police discovered the subject was dead.
Once her family members have been informed, the Marion County Coroner’s Office will disclose the female’s name and cause of death.
The Slippery Noodle sent its sympathies to the deceased’s family as it concluded its social media post.
“The entire Slippery Noodle family extends our condolences to the person’s family.”
