Indianapolis, Indiana – Wally’s, a food and gift shop with a road trip motif, intends to open its first Indiana convenience store near Whitestown, close to the intersection of Highway 267 and I-65.

Today saw the groundbreaking of the 53,000-square-foot establishment, which will offer “Great Service, Tasty Food, Clean Restrooms, and Unexpected Necessities.”

The store will have 84 fueling stations and generate 175 employees.

It would be Wally’s third store in the country. Its initial two locations were in Pontiac, Illinois, and Fenton, Missouri.

The business takes great pleasure in its spotless restrooms, freshly made coffee, ice cream, and other sweets.

Andy Strom, the chief experience officer at Wally’s, located in Pontiac, Illinois, stated, “All of our food is made fresh in-house: hand-carved BBQ sandwiches at our sandwich house, freshly popped popcorn, a beef jerky bar, and hand-tossed pizza.”

Wally’s selected Whitestown in order to expand its presence in the Midwest. It is anticipated that the Whitestown location will provide 150–200 jobs.

“The purpose is to boost not just the regional economy, but also numerous people embarking on a road trip, enjoying a fun-filled weekend of camping in between two cities, and it’s a family-friendly event,” Strom stated.

Local company owners like salon owner Rachelle Robinson are pleased that big businesses are choosing Whitestown as their location.

“I believe that more people, jobs, housing, and excellent schools are all beneficial,” Robinson remarked.

By year’s end, the Whitestown site is expected to open.
