Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Twitter account for the group, the Chicago Field Office of the United States Customs and Border Protection was responsible for the seizure of exactly 113 Derek Jeter World Series rings when they were in Indianapolis.

On Tuesday, June 13, law enforcement officials took hold of a cargo containing championship rings for the Yankees.

The shipment had originated in China and was en route to New York when it was stopped at the FedEx facility on Tuesday evening.

The MLB’s trademark had been breached by the use of the confiscated rings.

Customs estimated that these rings if they were authentic, would be worth approximately $169,500 each.
