Indy Electric Vehicle Showcase

Indianapolis, Indiana – Advocates of electric vehicles displayed dozens of models on Saturday.
The third annual Indy Electric Vehicle Showcase was held by the Indianapolis Office of Sustainability as part of its “Highly EVolved” electric vehicle program.
At the event, attendees learned about EV charging in homes and offices and took a test drive of the newest technologies.
Additionally, the organizers were able to discuss the federal and state tax incentives that are available for the purchase of electricity.
In 2022, there were 2.4 million registered electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States, according to the Department of Energy. Of these, about 18,000 were in Indiana.
According to Highly Evolved, there are around 30,000 auto chargers in the United States, with roughly 1,400 of them located in Indiana.
The showcase took place outside The AMP at 16 Tech, 1220 Waterway Blvd., Indianapolis, and ran from midday until five o’clock in the evening.
