Person shot and murdered in a car near the West Street/MLK exit on Interstate 65

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Sunday afternoon, someone was shot and murdered inside a car traveling north on Interstate 65.
The person’s age or name has not yet been made public.
According to online police records, at 1:52 p.m., Indianapolis firemen were sent to the 113.4-mile marker close to West Street and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street in response to a complaint of a dangerous gunshot scene.
PIO Sgt. Perrine of the Indiana State Police said that a person suffering from a gunshot wound was discovered within a car.
At the scene, they were declared deceased.
According to state police, they are trying to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The MLK/West Street exit ramp is anticipated to be closed for the next four hours, according to INDOT.
