Police in Anderson are looking into an accident after a body was discovered in the White River

Anderson, Indiana – Following the discovery of a body in the White River on Sunday, the Anderson Police Department launched a death investigation.
Officers from the Anderson Police Department responded to a report of a body discovered in the White River, west of Edgewater Park, around 4:27 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers found a dead man by the riverbed when they arrived on the scene, and they started to secure the area.
The investigation was aided by the call to the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
The deceased man’s identity is being kept a secret by the police until his family has been informed. An autopsy will be performed to ascertain the official cause of death, and police are currently investigating the event.
