Shot person discovered on northwest side of Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana – There was a shooting on the northwest side on Tuesday morning, to which Indianapolis Metropolitan police responded.
Officers were called to the 5900 block of West 82nd Street at 5:35 a.m., according to IMPD, in response to a complaint of gunfire.
Authorities discovered an individual with gunshot wounds. When the ambulance arrived, the person was taken to a nearby hospital. The incident, according to investigators, took place in a nearby business parking lot.
The person was breathing and conscious, but the extent of the injuries was not disclosed by IMPD.
Investigations into the shooting are still ongoing.
