Teenage ejected from SUV in collision in Madison County
Frankton, Indiana – Following a single-vehicle collision in Madison County, a teen driver required medical attention.
The collision took place on CR 700 N close to Frankton at around 6 o’clock on Wednesday, according to the Accident Investigation Team of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. It featured a 17-year-old Anderson resident operating a 1997 Jeep Wrangler.
The Jeep allegedly crossed the center line while traveling east and struck a utility pole on the north side of the road. Police reported that the teen driver was thrown into a tree. He was initially brought to a hospital in Anderson before being flown with neck and back injuries to a facility in Indianapolis.
The accident is still being looked into.
Fire departments from Pipe Creek Township, Lafayette Township, Alexandria, Alexandria Police Department, and Madison County Emergency Management were among the organizations that provided assistance.
