The Headless Horseman Festival revitalizes Sleepy Hollow

Fishers, Indiana – Conner Prairie in Fishers welcomed back the Headless Horseman Festival on Wednesday. During Halloween, the custom brings Sleepy Hollow to life.
The festival is adding some new features, like fire art, for its 41st year. All across the grounds, people can see fire breathers and fire-juggling performances.
The museum also renovated several of the games and added a few more carnival rides to the midway this year.
At the Headless Horseman Festival, there are still many of traditional fall activities. It offers events including a hayride and a pumpkin patch.
The longer corn maze is still operational, but the shorter one sustained damage from strong gusts that swept through central Indiana.
The hayride takes passengers on a trip to solve the mystery surrounding Ichabod Crane, according to spokeswoman Hyacinth Rucker.
Rucker declared, “My favorite part is the hayride.” “To whom are you going to run it? The man without a head. It’s only enjoyable. Almost two distinct sensations, isn’t that right? You have the option of going in the afternoon or at night. Do you realize that it won’t be as scary during the day? If you want to feel afraid in the evening, make sure you work those hours.
Kettle corn and caramel apples are staples of fall and will be available for purchase during the festival. For the occasion, Sun King even created a unique beer called “Conner Scary.”
Conner Prairie is hosting the Headless Horseman Festival from Thursday through Sunday till October 27. The festival opens one hour early this year and runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
