A wind advisory is in effect for Bloomington, and over 2,000 people are without power following an outage
Bloomington, Indiana – At about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Duke Energy reported a significant power loss in northeastern Bloomington.
As of 11:30 p.m. on Friday, around 2,000 customers close to the intersection of East 10th Street and State Route 45 were without electricity, according to the company’s outage map.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for several Indiana communities, including Bloomington, from approximately 7 p.m. on Friday to 4 a.m. on Saturday, although the origin of the problem is still unknown.
Up to 50 miles per hour wind gusts were predicted by the National Weather Service.
Duke predicts that by roughly 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, power will be back on.
