Two persons are rescued by Plainfield firefighters from a truck in a retention pond
Indianapolis, Indiana – On Monday morning, two persons were saved by Plainfield firemen when their pickup truck plunged into a retention pond.
Crews from Plainfield Fire Territory responded to a water recovery at Rockingham Way and Keystone Pass at approximately 9:15 a.m. That’s about three miles northwest of Plainfield’s downtown, in a quiet neighborhood off of Hanna Road.
The truck skidded off the road, down a slope, and into the pond, according to firefighters. The two individuals who received assistance from the truck were unharmed.
People were asked by Plainfield Fire Territory to try to avoid traveling on Monday.
“Take your time and be careful if you have to go out. But for today, we advise staying at home.
A travel watch is in effect for Plainfield and Hendricks County, meaning that only necessary travel—like to and from work or in an emergency—is advised due to dangerous road conditions.
