Indianapolis Home Show is back with a brand-new Centerpiece Home idea
Indianapolis, Indiana — For its 101st year, the Indianapolis Home Show is returning to the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
It is the oldest house exhibition in North America, according to the organizers, and more than 80,000 people attend each year.
Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb, the stars of HGTV’s “Unsellable Houses,” will make special appearances. There will also be special sessions with real estate gurus and landscaping specialists, wine tasting, and shopping for visitors to enjoy.
The Centerpiece Home is always a major draw for the program. The home this year was constructed by Custom Container Builders of Indianapolis and has a brand-new design idea.
“We built a customized, 2,000-square-foot, two-story home for this year’s Centerpiece Home,” Mike Lewis, company spokesperson, said.
There are four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a front and back patio, and a balcony, and the house is constructed out of shipping containers.
All active service and retired members of the armed forces, as well as members of the police and fire departments, will receive free admission and free parking to the Indianapolis Home Show in honor of its opening on Friday.
At the door, admission is $15 for adults, $3 for kids aged 6 to 12, and free for children under 5. For $2 off the adult entry, visit the home show’s website.
