Republican takes over as Zionsville mayor
Zionsville, Indiana – Monday marked the beginning of the new mayor’s tenure in the town of Zionsville.
As part of the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Mayor Kate Swanson and Republican John Stehr were both sworn in.
During the fall election for mayor, Stehr did not face any opposition.
He is the successor to Emily Styron, a Democrat who decided against running for a second term in office.
A community in Boone County with a population of 32,000 people, Zionsville is located just outside the northern boundary of Indianapolis.
