Here’s Where You Can Get Tested For COVID-19 In Monroe County
Monroe County, Indiana – Anyone who lives or works in Indiana is eligible to receive a COVID-19 test at a state-sponsored OptumServe testing site, with or without a doctor’s recommendation.
As of June 30 there are four COVID-19 testing locations, all from different providers, in Monroe County. Here’s where to go and what to expect if you’d like to get tested for COVID-19 in Monroe County:
CVS Pharmacy, 4444 West State Road 46
There is one CVS Pharmacy location in Monroe County that is currently doing COVID-19 testing. Testing is currently limited to patients who meet certain requirements.
If approved for testing, the CVS website notes that patients must be prepared to administer their own nasal swab or bring someone along who can do so.
Results will be shared two to four days after the test via CVS’ MyCare site.
ISDH/OptumServe Test Site, Indiana National Guard Armory, 3380 S Walnut St.
The state-sponsored testing site is located at the Indiana National Guard Armory in Bloomington, near Royal South Toyota and the Bloomington Animal Shelter.
There are no prerequisites needed to be tested. You can walk in for testing but you should register online beforehand.
This location is currently performing a nostril swab test.
Results will be shared via email or text.
IU Health Bloomington Remote Specimen Collection, 550 S Landmark Ave.
COVID-19 testing at this facility can be done only if you are symptomatic and have a doctor’s recommendation for a test.
Monroe Hospital, 4011 S Medical Monroe Park Blvd.
