Former Indiana school administrator is pursuing a Democratic candidacy for governor
Indianapolis, Indiana – Jennifer McCormick, a former state superintendent of schools, has submitted her paperwork to be considered for the Democratic Party’s governorship.
McCormick’s campaign claims that on Monday, she submitted over 9,000 signatures.
McCormick issued a statement saying that “this campaign is about the important issues impacting the daily lives of Hoosiers.”
“Indiana deserves a governor who will fight against extremism – and fight for sensible, effective policies.”
According to the Indiana Democratic Party, McCormick is the only Democrat listed thus far.
Friday at noon is the deadline for filing. May 7 is the primary election date.
