Male college student’s body was discovered outside a Purdue building
West Lafayette, Indiana – The male college student whose body was discovered next to a Purdue University lab is the subject of an investigation by the Tippecanoe County Coroner.
Around 11:30 on Sunday morning, coroner Carrie Costello’s office was contacted by a study lab on Allison Road regarding a male subject who had passed away outside.
Costello withheld the man’s name and the circumstances of his passing. Monday afternoon was set aside for an autopsy, but on Tuesday morning the results were not made public.
“Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the family, and we hope they are respected during such a difficult time,” Costello said in a release.
It is unknown from Purdue officials whether the man was a student.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine the man’s cause and manner of death.
