Man arrested for stealing money from Speedway
BEDFORD – A Bloomington man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department detectives were called to Speedway on December 18, 2020, after a report an employee stole money.
The manager said between $80 to $200 less was deposited each time Hubbard placed money in the safe. The manager suspected Hubbard had pocketed the money. Hubbard was terminated after the thefts were discovered.
Police were provided with the receipts from the safe and the actual deposit amounts.
Police left messages with Hubbard to contact them, but no return phone call was made.
He was arrested on a warrant on a charge of theft.
