Sign up for summer camps at Indianapolis Parks
Indianapolis, Indiana – Indianapolis has been providing summer programs for kids for over 30 years.
On Monday, Indy Parks launched registration, and it’s anticipated that the available spots will fill up soon. There was a waiting, according to officials, last year.
The American Camp Association has accredited each of the fourteen camps. Depending on the features offered by the 12 participating parks, they have various themes. Weekly field trips allow kids to explore the city and go swimming.
More space and counselor posts were set aside by city officials in 2024 to enhance the experience.
“We have environmental education camps, we have therapeutic camps for kids with special needs, we also have your traditional camps that are more like your 730 to six daycare alternative, and then we also have a bike camp and an outdoor adventure camp,” said Joenne Pope, senior manager of programs for Indy Parks.
Applying is still open for positions as paid camp counselors. For around ninety days, Monday through Friday, the hours are guaranteed at $14 per hour.
Enroll your student in the $15 per week, per child, Indy Parks Summer Day Camps and reserve your space with a payment plan.
“Limited scholarships are available based on financial need. To obtain a scholarship application, you must make a payment of $5 per child per week at your camp’s facility. Once payment has been made, you may request a scholarship application through your camp’s facility or Indy Parks Customer Service,” explained organizers on the Indy Parks website.
